Commonly known as "The Gherkin," this business centre is located tin the City of London.

Abbey Business Centres announced yesterday that Sky News joined their clientele at their 30 St Mary Axe location. Commonly known as "The Gherkin," this business center is located tin the City of London.

Sky News is well known for their informative and original news broadcasting. Now Chief Business Editor Jeff Randall and his team will be presenting live from Abbey’s office space on the 15th floor of the building every weekday night. The news program provides the most up-to-date news from all the day’s activities in the City of London.

This London business center offers an ideal location for the Sky News, boasting panoramic views towards Westminster, St Paul’s Cathedral and Tower 42. The program's viewers will now be able to witness these views that serve as the backdrop to the UK broadcaster.

“The recession has undoubtedly been the most dominant and recurring news story of the last 18 months and it made sense for us to seek a base in the City of London to enable us to stay on the pulse of the latest crucial business stories. The very nature of The Gherkin, and the views that come with it, meant this was the only logical location for us," Sky News Executive Editor Chris Birkett stated in a release from Abbey Business Centres.

Julie Calder, Managing Director of Abbey Business Centres said, "Though accommodating a studio, lighting equipment and a substantial production team was more of a challenge compared to more traditional office move-ins, the fact that we were even able to configure the space for Sky’s requirements just goes to show how much a serviced office can be of value to businesses – however large or small they may be. It’s great to welcome yet another strong brand into London’s most iconic building."
