Carr Workplaces now offers 23 locations, including this Chevy Chase, MD business center.
Washington, DC-based executive suites and virtual office provider Preferred Offices announced this week that they have changed their company name to Carr Workplaces.  Carr Workplaces merges Preferred Offices and the Synergy Workplaces brand. With this development, Carr Workplaces will now operate 23 business centers throughout California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Washington, DC.

Carr Workplaces Chief Executive Officer Joe Wallace said, “Our rebranding reflects both our history and our future. We believe our businesses model is experiencing growth as companies rethink their approach to how they create and provision work environments – they want to tie up less capital, shed long term obligations, stay flexible, and move the workplace closer to employees and clients. We aim to play a material part in that reshaping, and to help change the way people work in the future.”

The office business center industry has been experiencing growth in recent times in all markets, particularly since the economic downturn. Companies of all sizes looking to retain their employee talent while cutting costs have turned to alternative work space solutions which provide flexible terms, cut out overhead costs, minimize expenses, and offer professional support and benefits. This kind of flexible arrangement makes it possible for companies to fully on their business.

“This merge is a positive indicator of the office business center industry’s growth,” ALLIANCE Business Centers NETWORK Chairman Frank Cottle said. “More good changes are on the way, as individuals and businesses realize the benefits of flexible, alternative workplace solutions.”
